The Journal of Japanese Trade & Industry has been renamed
the Economy, Culture & History JAPAN SPOTLIGHT BIMONTHLY.

Publication of JJTI commenced in 1982 with a focus on reducing trade fiction and providing information on Japanese industry. We are proud that for 22 years the Journal has contributed to deepen mutual understanding between Japan and other nations by providing information on conditions in industry and Japanese culture. Furthermore, we believe that by simultaneously providing information on diverse matters that have an impact on the foundations of the economy, including international politics, history and culture, it is possible to cultivate a deeper understanding of Japan from various points of view that we have included topics that exceed the name of “Japanese Trade & Industry”. Therefore, we have decided to rename our periodical "Economy, Culture & History JAPAN SPOTLIGHT Bimonthly" in order to more adequately reflect our contents.

The new magazine will cover not only economy, trade and industry but also culture, history, international politics and more topics that would fit to our aim and interests of our readers. We will of course continue the efforts made by JJTI to bridge the information gap between Japan and other countries, in addition will actively debate topics that may be difficult for other English-language media to cover in depth. We will call upon representative figures in industry, government and academia fields as well as prominent non-Japanese and Japanese researchers in an effort to provide evermore substantial coverage.

We are committed to making every effort to provide an abundance of accurate, insightful information in order to fully respond to the expectations of our readers in the world.
