JEF財団概要

JEF創立目的国際経済交流財団(JEF:Japan Economic Foundation)は、1981年7月に通商産業大臣の設立認可を受けて設立されました。
2012年4月には、公益法人制度改革により、内閣総理大臣の認可を受け一般財団法人となりました。

財団は、経済分野における国際交流等外国との相互理解を増進するための事業を行うことにより、貿易の円滑な発展を促し、もって日本経済の健全な発展に資することを目的としています。

JEF業務概要上記の目的を達成するため、次の事業を行っています。

  1. 日本と外国との経済(地球環境面を含む)交流促進に資する事業
  2. 内外における産業及び貿易並びにそれらに係る政策に関する調査・研究及びその成果の普及並びに情報の収集及び提供
  3. 内外における産業及び貿易並びにそれらに係る政策に関する広報
  4. 内外における産業及び貿易の秩序ある発展に資するための助成その他の支援
  5. 前各号に付帯する事業
  6. その他財団の目的を達成するために必要な事業

調査研究

 米中対立、北朝鮮問題、最近ではロシアのウクライナ侵攻など、地政学的なリスクが世界的に急拡大していています。そのグローバル経済への影響が、サプライチェーンの分断や各国の経済的安全保障強化の必要性の増大に直結しています。また、広義の経済的安全保障強化のために、国としての競争力の強化が各国の喫緊の課題となっています。他方、経済成長のエンジンである貿易と投資は、WTOの機能不全や米欧など先進国を中心とした反グローバリゼーションとナショナリズムの勃興の中で、保護主義の脅威に晒されています。レジリエントな産業のサプライチェーンを確立し、経済的安全保障と自由貿易原則に基づく開かれた世界貿易体制を目指すために、超大国のパワーではなく、ルールに基づく国際経済システムを早急に構築することが求められています。
 当財団では、国際経済に課されたこのような山積する政策課題に対する解決策を求めて、産官学の有識者による研究会を少なくとも年に二つのテーマを選んで開催するかたちで、2021年度から実施しています。情報発信だけでなく、政策課題の解決策を探るシンクタンクの役割を新たに追及します。

Japan SPOTLIGHT について

当財団は、日本の経済、産業、政治の動向や社会的・文化的側面に関する正確で質の高い情報や意見を継続的に日本から英語で発信することを目的として、1982年(昭和57年)1月に「JOURNAL OF JAPANESE TRADE & INDUSTRY」を創刊しました。国内外の財界人、学者、ジャーナリストなどの執筆やインタビューを通じて、タイムリーな特集記事をカバーストーリーとし、時事トピックス、歴史・文化など幅広いテーマを取り上げています。
2004年(平成16年)1月には「ECONOMY, CULTURE & HISTORY Japan SPOTLIGHT Bimonthly」に誌名を改称し、2011年(平成23年)5月より英文電子ジャーナルとしてデジタル版での配信に変更しました。2017年(平成29年)10月にはウェブサイトをリニューアルし、国際社会を展望する指針になる情報を今後も日本から発信していきます。
Japan SPOTLIGHTは隔月刊の英文電子ジャーナルで、当財団ウェブサイト上に奇数月の10日に発行しています。

Japan SPOTLIGHTの歴史

1982年(昭和57年)1月:1982年1/2月号(通巻1号)1982年1/2月号
「JOURNAL OF JAPANESE TRADE & INDUSTRY」を創刊。国内外の公的機関をはじめ、大学、図書館、商工会議所、学識経験者、各界のオピニオンリーダーなどを含む読者層に幅広い情報や意見を英語で発信。(印刷冊子・有料)

2004年(平成16年)1月:2004年1/2月号(通巻133号)2004年1/2月号
より内容に即した「ECONOMY, CULTURE & HISTORY Japan SPOTLIGHT Bimonthly」に誌名を改称し、レイアウトや表紙のデザインを一新。(印刷冊子・有料)

2011年(平成23年)5月:2011年5/6月号(通巻177号)2011年5/6月号
当財団のウェブサイト上でデジタル版での配信へ変更。インターネットの普及に伴い、より多くの皆様方にお読みいただけるよう、新たにデジタル版として生まれ変わる。(電子ジャーナル・有料)

個人情報保護方針

1.基本的な方針JEF(一般財団法人国際経済交流財団)(以下、「当財団」という。)は、当財団の事業活動において、個人情報の重要性を十分に認識し個人情報を適切に取り扱うこととし、個人情報の保護に関する法令を遵守するとともに、個人情報保護体制の継続的な管理・改善に向けて、以下のとおり取り組みます。

2.法令の遵守当財団は、個人情報の取扱について、当該個人情報の保護に適用される法令を遵守します。

3.個人情報の取得当財団は、適法かつ公正な手段により、個人情報を取得します。

4.個人情報の利用・第三者提供当財団は、法令に基づく場合又は本人の同意がある場合を除き、保有する個人情報について、当財団の利用目的の範囲内(当財団が開催するイベントへの参加申込受付等)において自ら利用するものとし、第三者に提供いたしません。

5.個人情報の取扱の外部委託当財団は、利用目的の範囲内において、個人情報の取扱の全部又は一部を第三者に委託することがあります。このような場合は、個人情報の適切な管理能力を有することを条件とし、個人情報の取扱に関する定めを締結し、当財団と同等の適正な管理を求めます。

6.情報の適正な管理個人情報を安全かつ適正に取り扱うために、個人情報への不正アクセス、個人情報の漏洩、紛失等を防止するためのセキュリティ対策を講じ、個人情報の管理に関する安全性の確保に努めます。
